Hi
I have been researching the Adams family for a number of years.
I am a descendent of Allen Adams and Martha Higenbotham's son Samuel. Gr Gr Grandfather was Henry Augustus Adams in Bombay Native Infantry. My Gr Grandfather came to New Zealand where many of his descendents live. I am in contact with most of these and several from Samuel's brother Benjamin's line who remained in Ireland. I have had contact with one descended from the eldest son Richard, in Perth. On my last visit I had concerns the wall of the old church at Knockbride would collapse under the tree that was growing over it. This wall contains the names of many family members. I wonder if it was the wall of the old church as I was told, or more of a memorial or burial chamber?? The ground in front of it appeared to cover regularly spaced shapes, pews or coffins?
I will be in Monaghan in May 2020 and would like to meet up with other researchers of this family.
I have had many trips to Ireland over the years visiting the memorials and graves, Knockbride, Carrickmacross, St Michan's etc.
