Bridget was born to Edmund Connors and Mary McDonnell in 1817 in Templemore, Tipperary.
She married John O'Rourke in 1842 in Templemore. He may have worked as a surveyor for the Irish Railroad or her father did (or both).
John and Bridget had three children born in Templemore: Ellen, William and a 2nd William after the death of the first one.
John died in the early 1850s in Ireland possibly due to a stone being thrown.
Bridget migrated with her two children to the US in the early 1850s and settled in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She worked as a laundress and later as a housekeeper. She purchased her own home by 1870. Her many grandchildren lived nearby. She lived to be 99 years old.

Bridget is my 2nd great grandmother. Her descendants are only from her second son, William, since her daughter never married nor had her own children.
