The children of Michael McCue/McKew and Mary Dunne were baptised at Portarlington (not Portlaoise) :)
Several Dowling relatives residing in Maryborough, Laois County Ireand were noted in this newspaper as related to the challenge of the will of Mary (Mira) McCue Moran as follows:
This will included several land holdings and was challenged in 1891 by Sarah Moran -the second wife of Edward Moran. The challenge required that all potential heirs be notified in the newspaper to attend the hearing. There was a notice in the Highland Democrat on Saturday July 11, 1891 to all heirs to come to the hearing on this challenge the following individuals were named: Michael McCue ,Jeremiah McCue, John Brady, Mary Wheeler, Marcus Dowling, Fanny Dunn, James Dowling, Bridget Dowling and Mary Dowling.
Bridget McCue Dowling was 1 of 6 children born to Michael McCue and Mary Dunne in Portlaoise, County Laois (formerly Queen's Co) as follows:
Judy baptized Sept 16, 1828- godparents John and Betty Kelly
Patrick bapt Nov 11, 1830- godparents James Conroy & Bridget Dunne
Bridget bapt August 5 , 1833 – godparents James Conroy & Ellen Kelly

John bapt Jan 13, 1839 – godparents Edward Kavanagh & Catherine Dunne (another sister ?)
Fanny bapt June 7, 1840 – godparents James Dunne (mother's brother ?) & Anne Byrne
It would be helpful to have more information on Bridget McCue Dowling as she remained in Maryborough and may have married into the Dowling family about 1852 when the rest of the family immigrated to NY, USA.
