Is there a possibility that a member of your Moran family was in Illinois in 1857 or 58? My great grandmother Bridget Amie Ellen Moran was borh there in 1858 and I can't find any record of her birth or the marriage of her mother Eurilla Everhart/Eberhardt from Ohio during this period. Eurilla and Bridget were in Craighead Co. Arkansas by 1870, Eurilla was married to James K. Norsworthy, Bridget now 12 was in school.
My GGgrandmother is Bridget Moran, Daughter of Timothy Moran and Bridget. Married James Halpin of Clonegal, Carlow, here, in St. Clair County, Michigan. This is her headstone in Michigan showing she was born in 'King County', she was 80 years old when she died in 1889. I see DNA hints that she could possibly be from Edenderry, Clara...
Bridget's siblings also came to Michigan. They were Francis, Winifred Lovina, Edward, Mary, and Margaret, that I'm aware of.
I'd love to find out more about the family in Offaly.
