Catherine Behan is my great-grandmother. She emigrated to the United States at age 19 in 1880. She married James Flannery, also from County Tipperary, in 1883 in Deep Creek, Iowa, USA. James and Catherine moved to the state of South Dakota where their oldest son was born. They eventually moved and settled in Waupaca County, Wisconsin, USA where James farmed. A daughter and son were born there. The area was settled by many Irish emigrants. Catherine died in 1943. James and Catherine are buried in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Bear Creek, Waupaca County, Wisconsin USA.
