Daniel Kelleher was my direct paternal 3 x great grandfather. He was born in 1766 and died on 22/08/1865 aged 99. He lived through the great hunger.
I have found his Will and in this he referred to his Townland and the location of his land under it's modern name as well as it's an ancient name. The name that was used in the Downs Survey. This has ensured that the old name has not been forgotten. I have passed this name on to some of the people that are currently living there.
