I am searching for David and his twin Denis McCarthy baptized 23 Aug 1813 Mahoonagh RC Parish, Co Limerick sons of, Eugene "Owen" McCarthy and JoAnna Griffin possibly of Monagea, Co Limerick.

David married Margaret Shanahan 28 Feb 1843 Ashford, Raheenagh, Ballag, Killeedy civil parish, Barony of Glenquin Glenquin, Co Limerick.

My papertrail from my father to his family in Ireland led me to Mahoonagh RC Parish but DNA results are stirring me in the direction of Co Kerry.

My paternal grandmother is (was) Honora "Hannah" McCarthy, who was born in 1880 to my g-grandfather Denis McCarthy and g-grandmother Anne Wigmore McCarthy, when they lived in the Feohanagh/Mahoonagh/Newcastle area. My g-grandfather Denis McCarthy's father was also a Denis McCarthy Sr., and was born in ~1813, per the marriage certificate I have when Denis Jr. married Anne in Mahoonagh parish.

Anyway, I believe that there is a strong likelihood that my gg-grandfather Denis McCarthy in my tree, who was born in 1813, is the twin brother of the David McCarthy (also born in 1813).
