Edmund Ryan convicted and transported to Tasmania, Australia 1846. Was living in Thurles at that time but not sure he weas born Thurles but expect if not there then near by. He was a farm labourer and was convicted of Assault and habitation having been part of a group of men who assaulted Patrick Hogan. Edmunds siblings were listed on his convict papers as James, John, Denis, Philip, Michael, Thomas, Edwardand Julia. There were no ages nor birth years and no parents names.
