Hannah was born in Cappanabohy and as far as I could research she had 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Her father and mother were married in Barleyhill West as that is where the Callaghan's where from. Her Aunt, Ellen Donovan, married Denis Shanahan ( the Fenian) and lived in Union hall.
In the 1829 Tithe Applotment for Cappanabohy it lists Hannah's grandfather, Cornelius O'Donovan with a sept name "Rue".
I am trying to find the meaning of "Rue" and have come to the conclusion, I hope correctly, that it was misspelled and is suppose to be "Rua".
Does anyone know this sept name and its origins ?
