Illegitimate son of Henry Lambert (b. 1786) and Margaret Louisa Gray. Baptism is in January 1805, in the Catholic registers. No info as to who brought him up.
Sent to England in early 1830s when his father married Catherine Talbot. Began work at Board of Customs in 1839. Married Anne Elizabeth Spencer (1828-1891) 12 May 1850 in Trinity Church, London. Multiple children born, Kent and London areas. Ended working life as Assistant Inspector-General in HM's Customs in 1878. Died less than a year later.
