Isaac was born in Newry, Down, Ireland circa 1777.
He had 8 children, all of whom were born in Ireland. Their names from eldest to youngest were: Mary (1803-1888), Eliza (1804-?), Nancy AGNES (1809-1897), John Copeland (1810-1897), Margaret A. (1814-1889), Susan Maria (1818-1895), William Lowry (1820-1887), Robert Emmet (1822-1907)
He left Ireland, with his wife and 7 of his children, on May 16, 1823. In the St. Catharines library, in Ontario, Canada, there is reference to this family (May 1866) and it was stated they came from Ireland on the ship the 'Trafalgar' from Portsmouth. I have not been able to find anything to confirm this yet.
They landed in Quebec, Canada in July 1823.
His eldest daughter, Mary was married to Samuel Cochrane. She remained in Ireland until 1848 when she left with her 11 children. Her husband had died in 1847.
