James Adams was the eldest of six children born to parents William and Sarah Adams. James married Frances(Fanny) Baxter and they had as many as 10 children, Sarah and Matilda, before emigrating to Canada in 1822 and settling in Ameliasburgh township in Prince Edward County in Ontario for 11 years, having four more children and then moving further west to Delaware, Middlesex county, near London, Ontario, where he spent the remainder of his life. I am trying to confirm where James and Frances lived before emigrating. Although listed in several census reports as being born in Ireland, I am beginning to suspect that James, like most of his siblings, were born in England. His birth year is listed in online genealogies as being 1799 but his parents were not married until 1800 in Oxford, UK(St Giles parish). Some interesting questions about James and his parents, William and Sarah. Any help would be most appreciated.
