James Pratt was my great great grandfather. He was bc1830 in Errill (or Errol), Laois (Queens County), Ireland, his parents were John Pratt and Honora. James married Margaret Lalor / Lawlor (daughter of James Lalor and Johannah (Judy) Cragh) on 11/02/1854 in Rathdowney. Their first child was born in 1855 prior to their emigration to Victoria, Australia on the 'Calliance' in Dec 1855. James and Margaret had 9 children: Mary Ellen b1855, John Thomas b1857, Honorah b1859, Johanna b1860, Catherine Margaret b1862, James Patrick b1865, Michael Joseph b1866, Margaret b1869, Jane Elizabeth b1874.
