James was born in Canada with the middle name of Alonzo in 1847 and migrated with his family to New York City in New York State. Problem being I have not been able to find a birth cert or any information about his family. They do not appear on the 1850 census nor 1860. It is a frustration to say the least. He married Catherine Agnes Byrnes in 1886. I will add her as well since her lineage is Irish too.
