Daughter of James Rafferty and Mary Loudon of Mullaghmore. Mary was the daughter of Clark Loudon and Jane Dougan married in 1777. Jane Dougan Rafferty married James Harshaw at Second Markethill Presbyterian Church, 7 Aug, 1828. All of their children were baptized a the same church. Immigrated to Frome, Ontario, Canada about 1846 with all of their children to locate near other family members. James Harshaw was the son of James Harshaw of Brackley, near Markethill.
