My Sullivan family also left Allihies for the USA. They moved to Fall River, Massachusetts. If your family moved to Montana they may have be miners. John Andrew Sullivan/O`Sullivan,( my gr gr grandfather) married Katherine Mary "Kate" Dwyer (?) 20 Mar 1871-Allihies Parish, Ballydonegan, Cork Ireland. There was a half-brother to John born 1848, also in Ireland. There were 7 children born in Ireland before coming to the US in 1883.

After living and working in Butte for some time, there was a move to the Jocko Valley, Flathead county, Montana. John put in a census that he was a farmer. Not sure what he did in Ireland before they came to the US.
One child born in Jocko Valley, Flathead.
