Hi, my ancestors are from Carrick-on-Suir and on one of their baptism records in 1909 a sponsor/informant is a Thomas Fahey. My relative is Helen (Ellie) O'Donnell, father Thomas and mother Ellen O'Donnell (nee Curran). Not sure if the said Thomas Fahey would be a relative of your John Fahey.

Thanks for the info, would be difficult to know if it was the same Thomas Fahey. He was definitely living in Carrick in 1911 as he shows up on the 1911 census, which for some reason I can't access through ancestry.com any more.
