1875. His name is on the passenger list for this voyage listed as John Irwin. There were 267 immigrants all of whom were not to know that their
voyage would be arduous in the extreme, to the extent that their captain died on the voyage.
John was listed as John IRWIN on the passenger list and it is
reported that he did not assume his correct surname until he married in 1884.
Also aboard were the two IRWIN sisters Margaret and Elizabeth.
