John Fitzpatrick was born at Tintore in 1745. He married Mary Gowan. They immigrated to Canada in about 1830. His son John Fitzpatrick born 1800 , lived in Aghaboe. He married Sarah Honor. They also immigrated to New York about 1830 . It appears the whole family immigrated at the same time.
In 2019 my sister and went to Ireland. We found what we believe to be Tintore, and a home with ancient tower ruins. A farmer on the land told us it was a former Fitzpatrick home. It is very close to Aghaboe and the Fitzpatrick castle in county Laois.
