John also had 2 more sons apart from John Joseph and Vincent, they were Joseph and Ted (Edward) but I'm not sure of the dates they were born.

This is so exciting! Thank you, Stephen, for reaching out and for telling me about your grandparents. What further information can you share about them?
Tell me about your mother's family too. Do you have a family tree somewhere that I can study? If you give me your email address, I can invite you to take a look at my tree on Ancestry.com It is a work in progress and you may be able to fill in some gaps or point out errors.
I did not know about Joseph and Edward (Ted) Maybe they were born after the exchange of letters that I have between John/Ellen and my great grandmother, Bridget (aka Delia) who moved to America.
If you want to email me, send to brownbat74@yahoo.com. I am very happy to learn more about this family! And very happy to find you, a new cousin!
(Are you on Facebook? We have a little group on there for the descendants of Nicholas McDonogh. We are mostly Yanks but we do have one cousin, so far, in Perth, Australia and another on the Isle of Man.)

Hi Casey,
I'm so pleased you responded to my comments. You're right, it is exciting to find out about family you never knew about, regardless of far apart we may be.
I'm going to send you an email and I'm going to copy my sister in it, my sister is Jane Pearson so you won't be wondering who she is. We have limited knowledge of Ted, but I knew Vince and Joe for quite a few years before they passed. I was born in 1962, in a village called Port Clarence (not as quaint as it may sound by the way, very industrialised), we lived 2 doors away from our Grandad (John Joseph), and our Nana Irene (who was known by everyone as Rene (pronounced Ree Nee).
I can make a family tree and Jane can help me fill in some of the gaps. I'm currently in Vienna, Austria for work, and Jane is back in the UK just a few miles from where we grew up. I'm not sure how different the time-zones are from where you are but we'll muddle through.
Yes, I'm on Facebook as Stephen MacGregor My profile Picture is of me standing with my daughter. You could send an invite to the group or let me know the name of the group and I'll look for it.
This may just be the excuse I needed to visit the USA and Australia one day.
Stephen.
