Hard for me to understand, John J. Sheehan & Helena FitzGerald were married in 1884 in Ballymacthomas, Cork City, Co. Cork, Ireland. They had my G'mother in May 1887, before immigrating to the USA. Date & ship & arrival port unknown/ Their marriage cert, says their fathers were both John (Timothy John Sheehan?), John Sheehan was a Laborer & deceased by the time of the marriage, Helena's father was also John & alive & a Baker. Confusing! Looking for John J. & Helena's siblings, their mothers names, their G'parents & so on.

All of the info. is incorrect/wrong as far as my John Joseph Sheehan is concerned. He was the son of John Timothy Sheehan & Mary Maher, daughter of James Maher, who presumably died in Malden, MA, USA, where he & his Daughter, Mary Maher Sheehan (abt1830-abt1907) probably Malden, MA, USA where they immigrated to, she worked as a PA. John Timothy Sheehan (abt1/1848-1882), her husband died in the Cork City Workhouse of Pneumonia in 1882 (I don't know the exact date!) Their son John Joseph Sheehan (bef1861-bef1936) married Helena/Ellen (Middle Name?) FitzGerald (4/12/1865-2/28/1922) born Skibereen, Co. Cork, they married Aug. 1884 in Cork City, Co. Cork, they were both listed as Tailors on the Marriage Cert. She died Peabody, MA, USA, he died Danvers, MA, 14 years later. Both buried St. Mary's RC Cemetery, Salem, MA, USA/ Their Daughter, Mary Katherine Sheehan Cranney was born 5/8/1887 Ballymacthomas, Cork City, Co. Cork. The 3 of them then immigrated to America between the date of her Birth & the Birth of her next Sibling in Peabody, MA in 1889. She married Michael E. Cranney, Jr. (1889-1966) in Providence, RI in 1909. They had their 1st child, my Mother, Doris Helena Cranney 2/16/1910, She died May 1969 from a Transfusion Reaction. They had one more child a year later, John Joseph Cranney (1911-90). My G'father & Uncle both worked in the Leather Industry, my G'father retired from Creese & Cook. I had his gold pocket watch, but someone stole it, along w/my HS Ring!
