Was Francis a male or female trying to find my gg grandfather that was born in Ireland and came over to the USA but we don't have any other information just trying to see if this is the right person since I don't have much to go on. Thank you Susan Hill colorfullady64@gmail.com

Son of Francis Ward and Rachel Wickliff. Married Susannah Crampton Nov 1828, Clonsast Lower, County Offaly, Ireland Left aboard "Courtney" arriving in New York 22 Apr 1847 where in less than a week they both died in immigrant hosipital Ward's Island along with youngest daughter Isabella. Left 7 children, Rachael,18,Francis,16,Mary,13, Jane,11, Nathaniel, 9, John, 5, Hester (Kitty),4. Who were all taken in by the Wards and Wickliff families of Ohio.
