Mary Hogan married Michale Murphy on 01 Mar 1821 in Tipperary. Together they had a son named Daniel Joseph Murphy (DOB unknown but he was baptized 17 Apr 1839)

They emigrated to St. Louis, Missouri, USA in December of 1848. Mary passed away in St. Louis on 09 Feb 1893.

I don't have any information on Mary's husband Michael/Michl other than their marriage record from 1821. I would love to hear from anyone who might have a connection to him! :)

I don't have any connection to your Murphys from Loughmore. Mine came from Cork. I did try to find more information on your Michael.

At their marriage, James and Patt were witnesses (perhaps brothers??).

RootsIreland shows Mary and Michael had the following children- Jeremiah 1822, Mary 1824, Anastatia 1827, John 1829 (Note these first four children were recorded as being born in Gorteen, Loughmore), Patrick 1834, Michael 1836, Daniel 1839, Laurence 1839, and Laurence 1841. Sponsors include Lance and John Murphy. Mary and Michael's oldest son was Jeremiah perhaps that is Michael's father's name.

Ancestry identifies this 1850 Census, Michael is not included.

On Ancestry a member shows he died 17 Apr 1853 • Saint Louis, St. Louis City, Missouri, USA

Buried Rock Spring Cemetery; not moved to family plot in Calvary Cemetery.

You probably have this information. I researched Mary Elizabeth Murphy Ryder. She was an amazing woman.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much! I got chills reading all of this! I only had information on their son Daniel so this is great information I didn't have.

Mary Elizabeth Ryder was my great great grandmother and I have so much admiration for the amazing things she did. I actually only have this information because a woman named Susan Brunnsman wrote a book about her which has become a cherished family heirloom.
