Mary Sweeny was my grandmother.  She was born in Dromanailig, living in Ballingeary village.   Pictured with her is my mom Margaret (Marguerite) Mary Dwyer.

 

When Mary A Sweeney was born on August 15, 1874, in Cork, Cork, Ireland, her father, Daniel, was 36, and her mother, Abigail, was 28. She married John Charles Dwyer on September 6, 1905, in Boston, Massachusetts. They had six children in 14 years. She died on March 19, 1955, in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 80, and was buried in Mattapan, Massachusetts.
