My great grandmother Mary is a mystery. She came to Hobart Town Tasmania in 1854 as a Bounty Immigrant on the 'Kingston" via Liverpool. The paperwork stated her name was Mary Tuehy and native place was Tipperary. Family folklore has her born in Tipperary and Limerick! My first knowledge of her is her marriage certificate to my great grandfather (convict) Thomas Neil/Neal/O'Neil/O'Neil who according to his records was born in Tipperary but the family was living in Waterford at the time of his conviction. Mary died in Port Cygnet in 1904 and her death certificate stated she was born in "Ireland" Despite years of all looking and my DNA being uploaded I cannot find any more information. Relatives who live in Tasmania and surrounds don't appear to have any further information. Mawsey
