1901 Irish census has a Timothy Ward with his wife Mary in the townland of Granaghan Beg, Newmarket-on-Fertgus. He is described as an Agricultural Labourer. 1911 census records Mary as a widow, living alone.
Apparently they hd a family of 4, 3 of whom were still living in 1911. Their names are not recorded.
There is a James Ward in the nearby townland of Ballycar who is a widower in 1901. 1911 census residing with him are 4 children: Maria, 16, Ellen, 14, James 12 and Joseph/Patrick, aged 10. His mother Anne is also there.
James Ward is recorded as a farmer.
You might find out who Mary's father was and get back to me.
