Maurice Murphy was the son of Maurice Murphy and Mary Conners. He lived on a farm in the townland of Appletown/Broadford District/Newcastle West, on Appletown Road, right next to Aglish Cemetery outside of Feohanagh. As you face the cemetery entrance, Maurice Murphy's farm would be the land just to your right. The cemetery and the farm share a stone wall border.
He died before 8 January 1884 (Source: The marriage certificate dated 8 January 1884 for his son, Maurice Murphy, to Catherine Danaher lists his father as deceased.)
