I am descended of , born 1680 in this parish. He married Katherine Avaerharte. (I'm not sure of that spelling.) They moved to the United States to the state of Virginia. My research says the attached photo is the McElwrath tartan, but I don't know that for a fact and I'd like to confirm it.
