Michael John Crowe born 3 Sept 1836 Rathfarnham, son of a Provisions Dealer Malachi Crowe and his wife Margaret.
After 2 years of College, he immigrated to Liverpool, England. He met his wife Mary Morris and married her on 15 Sept 1861 the following summer and their son John Michael Crowe was born in July 1862.
In 1863 Michael and his brother Patrick J Crowe left for New York City where their older brother John Crowe was living with his family. In 1863 Patrick J Crowe signed up for the Draft for the Union Army during the American Civil War and in May 1864 Michael J Crowe Enlisted in the Union Navy.
After the war he return to Liverpool, England. Michael returned to America in 1873 after receiving a letter from his brother-in-law Michael Morris about the number of New Mills opening in Rhode Island and plentiful jobs; Michael packed his wife & 4 children up and settled the family permanently in Rhode Island.
