I do have a Michael McCarthy in my tree born about this time He stayed in Ireland but his wife Margaret Darcy went to London with the children She financed them from her flower market stall sales to go to Victoria Australia she stayed in Greenwich not sure if he joined her there later He may have relatives of dame name I will have a look at his tree Do you have anymore details ie children wife etc or exact location of birth to help
