- Son of John Moore, (circa 1798) and Honora Gaffney, (4 March 1799). John and Honora married in Avoca, 22 November 1818.
- Michael’s siblings were, Eleanora (Ellen), (1818-1884) and Elizabeth (Eliza), circa 1827.
- Michael married Ellen (Eleanor) Doyle, 14 October 1844 in Avoca.
- Ellen Doyle was born in Avoca, 4 June 1826 the daughter of Terence Doyle (1792-1887) and Mary McDanniel (1794-1883).
- Michael and Ellen had 3 children in Avoca; Honora (1845-1883), Mary (1848-~1852) and John (1850-1923).
- Michael, Ellen, Honora and John emigrated to South Australia, 4 November 1851.
- Arrived Port Adelaide via. Plymouth, 2 February 1852 on the S.S. Marshall Bennett.
- Michael and Ellen lived in Burra, Kapunda, Sheoak Log and Bagot’s Gap areas of South Australia.

- Michael died 12 February 1863 at Sheoak Log following a fall from his horse, and is buried in the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Kapunda.
- Ellen Moore subsequently married Arthur Quinn in 1866 and had a further 3 children; Alfred, Thomas and Edward.
- Ellen Quinn died 31 May 1904 in Adelaide, South Australia.
