Patrick Maher resided in the area of Kilmorony and Tankardstown in Athy Parish. He married Bridget Quinn (1858-1939) and had nine children. Athy Parish records show a late entry for a baptism that seems to match him datd 23 Aopr 1856 with parents Patrick and Elizabeth. Beyond this record nothing is know of the father, but the mother appears to be Elizabeth "Betty" Scully (born c1798).
Children of Patrick & Bridget (Quinn) Maher are: James; Mary; John, William; Thomas; Bridget; Joseph; Patrick and Lizzie. Only Joseph and Bridget are known to have had issue.
