Patrick O'Neill & Bridget McNamara married in Kilcornan on April 12 of 1847 and per his obituary, he was born in March 1825 and arrived in America in June 1847. Their first known child was born in New York in May 1849. So we know of no children born in Ireland of this couple.
I suspect Patrick had an older brother Thomas O'Neill, as he is listed on the 1850 Ohio census with Patrick & Bridget and their two young children. I acknowledge Thomas could be a cousin, but.....
Thomas is listed as being 1 year older than Patrick.
Thomas is missing in the 1860 census.
In the 1900 census Bridget's birth is listed as Jan 1827, making her 22 months younger than her husband Patrick. Their tombstone & obituaries indicate birth years of 1825 & 1827.
A second, less likely brother or cousin of Patrick is a John C. O'Neill born 1834 & is buried in the same cemetery as Patrick and Bridget's family. There is a second, separate O'Neill family in this cemetery, but John C. is closer in age group to Patrick & Thomas O'Neill.
I have been searching and can not find brothers Patrick, Thomas and/or John born to the same parents in or around Kilcornan parish.
