Patrick was born on 29 April 1806, to Patrick Quirke and Mary Delaney.  His baptism took place in Loughmore, his marriage in Toomevarra on 1 May 1836, he married Mary Regan.  He lived in Stook for most of his life, which is not far from Toomevarra.  He worked as a farmer and had 7 children.  Patrick died at Thurles Workhouse 18/12/1891 but his death was not registered until January 1892.
