Richard Welsh born 1794 in Killenaule, Tipperary, parents Martin Welsh and Catherine Dwyer. Convicted of cattle maiming and transported to Australia in 1834 on convict ship 'Blenheim' - resident at Camden in 1841 drowned in 1844. Richard's wife Mary and daughters Judith (Julia) and Catherine arrived on the 'Minerva' in 1839. Sons: Laurence, Thomas, Michael and Richard arrived on the 'Nautilus' in 1840. Judith married Convict Thomas Flynn in 1841. Catherine married Thomas Phelan in 1845.
