A very good source of early migration from Ireland to Upper Canada in the early 1820s is the "McCabe List". The attached document
has the entry for Edward MCDANIEL who described his family in Ireland:
338 MCDANIEL, Edward X Fermanagh Maharkillmully Irwinstown "His father Robert, with a Family of 3 sons and 2 daughters reside at Irwinstown, they are known to Captn. Arsdale of Riversdale".
I have found an entry in the 1788 poll of electors- Fermanagh "McDaniel, Robt. Drumrohin, Drumore"
Any information about Robert and the family who stayed behind in Ireland would be appreciated.i
Son Edward MCDANIEL born sometime before 1775 went to Canada with wife Catherine ARMSTRONG and three children. Probably travelled with Thomas ARMSTRONG and BENJAMIN BARTON.
