My great-grandmother, Sarah Rice was born on Nov 17, 1875 in Killeavy Upper, Armagh (residence place Lawnabaun, parish variant Cloghogue or Cloghue. Her parents were Matthew Rice and Sarah Larkin. I have seen a document referring to Michael Rice and Sarah Larkin and would like confirmation that his name was actually Matthew.

I have found a Birth record for a Sarah Rice born Meigh Newry 20 Dec 1875 to a Michael Rice and Sarah Larkin in same place. The 1875 is a typo I feel, as all others on the page are 1876

Thank you for the prompt reply with this information. In fact I notice that the birth registration date is given as February 1876, so perhaps she was actually born on 20/12/1875.
However, in the past I have seen other documents stating that her father was Matthew Rice (the spelling Mathew with only one t was used). I think this may have been in census documents. Sarah was the youngest child of Matthew(?) Rice and Sarah Larkin. I am not sure how to add it to the comments, but I can provide a screen shot of my Ancestry tree showing the other siblings, as well as her (presumed) parents and grandparents. I would really appreciate it if the info in my tree could be validated based on some official documents.

I would be careful with relationships stated on Census returns.
I have had Grandchildren listed as nieces before now. Which I have proven to be incorrect.
I also have a couple of Rice in my tree from the Killeavy area.
