Susan Cooney was born in 1847 (baptised 3 September) in Knockbride Parish, County Cavan, Ireland, the daughter of Thomas and Ann, or "Biddy," nee Lynch. She emigrated to the USA and afterward settled in Illinois and married William John Camp on December 30, 1867. They had five children in 10 years. Her husband was a police officer in the city of Springfield and was killed in the line of duty in 1885. Susan died on January 25, 1908, in San Francisco, California, at the age of 61, and was buried in Colma, California.
My 2nd great-grandmother Susan Cooney, father Thomas, mother Ann, nee Lynch, came to America and married William John Camp.
