  • Hi , I am still searching for other members of the Hallinan family from Kilshanny, and what happened to them.  I am sure that they must have emmigrated and most probably to America.    I have just been on your site, and came across County Clare Tithe Applotment Books for the Parish of Kilshanny and there is a John Hallinan in the Parish of Kilshanny and the townland of Smithstown for 15th January 1854.  Jane helped me ages ago, when we came to Ireland, and we found the land that Thomas Hallinan, 1824-1876, his son and my GGGgrandfather worked.  Thomas married Honora Cooney 1827-1896 and they migrated to Australia with their 7 children in 1863.  Thomas' father John Hallinan had already migrated to New York and his mother Susan had died previously in Ireland.

Is there any way that I can find any more information.

    Kind regards,

    Patricia Hallinan Quinn
