Timothy Collins was born around 1845 in Reen County Cork and married Kate Carthy in Kilmacabea, Cork on 4 Feb 1869. Their daughter, my maternal grandmother Mary Collins was born on 12 April 1878 in Reen, Skibbereen Co Cork and immigrated to Philadelphia Pennsylvania, USA arriving on the SS Pennland on 18 May 1899. She subsequently met and married my maternal grandfather, Thomas E. Harrold in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on 29 April 1908. The Irish 1901 census still showed Timothy & Kate Collins living in Lickowen, (Castlehaven South), Cork. Thomas and Mary had 3 children, Katherine, Edward, and my mother Margaret.
