Hi from John, my kenny ancestors hail from Ballyglass too!
My great-grandfather Timothy Griffin came from Kilconnell and was born @1851.
His father was John Griffin and his mother was Mary O'Neill.
Based on research, I believe he may have lived in Ballyglass and may have had an older brother, Francis Griffin, who lived in Ballyglass up through the 1911 census.
He emigrated to the USA @1870 and lived in Boston, MA for close to 10 years where he married and the first few children were born. They then moved to Randolph, NJ where he died in 1917.
I am slowly piecing together a potential family tree from church and civil records of Griffin's and on his mother's side as the O'Neill's appear to have connections to the Lyons family.
Interested in connecting with anyone who may know more. Thanks!

Hi John,
Thanks for posting a note! Ballyglass appears to be a rather small area so there is a good chance our ancestors knew each other - or maybe even were related. I have not come across the name Kenny in my research yet. Have you taken a DNA test?
Fran
Hi Fran , yes, definitely neighbours. My family have been in the area since the 1830s. I have some interesting land records with the Griffin name. Email me at kennyjge@gmail.com and we can share further. I live in the south of England but my late dad was born at Ballyglass in 1919 and our cousins still live there. Where are you based? My DNA is on ancestry and Gedmatch, family tree too. Good to talk! How about you? John
