William Adams and his wife Sarah Harwood were apparently married in Oxford, UK, in
St Giles parish church in 1800 and had 6 children before taking ship in Londonderry in 1822 for Canada. Both William and Sarah died on the crossing and were buried at sea, The children all survived the voyage and became residents in Ameliasburgh township in Prince Edward County in Ontario, where they lived for 11 years, according to my information. I am trying to find out what Irish parish and townland they lived in, in Ireland, before emigrating, or attempting to emigrate to Canada, whether their six children were born in Ireland or England and perhaps, with some speculation, explain why they moved back to County Tyrone in Ireland just before emigrating.
