William was born in Upperhills, Castlecomer to Isaac (Isack) Boyle and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick and baptised on 29 November 1858.
In his early adult life, William served as a Private Soldier (Pioneer), in the Coldstream Guards (Service Number: 115828).
He went on to marry Bridget Mary Jackson (born on 12 August 1859 in Toberbeg, Dunlavin, County Wicklow, Ireland). They were married at St Edwards Church, Hanover Square in London England on 6 July 1886. William and Bridget migrated to the town of Gateshead in the North East of England where William worked as a Coal Miner.
William died in Gateshead, England on 9 February 1921.
