William Delay born 1824 son of Patrick Delay and Ellen Leahy in Tracton Parish.I have found 2 brothers Luke born 1815 and Jeremiah born 1818.Luke's wife Margaret also was from Tracton born 1820 to Maurice Russell and Margaret Kiely.The name Delay changes over time to Delea.Hope this is some help.
I am thrilled! I wish I could tell my father, but he's no longer living. i even worked in an Irish Studies department, but I never figured out any of my family in Ireland. Years ago, I tried to figure out where "Tractor" was, because of a transcription error! When I finally got William's obituary, I at least knew it was Cork, but I still didn't put it together. That would be cool! Thanks to your information, I was easily able to find 8 children of Patrick Delay and Ellen Leahy in total. I didn't find a Mary. That's as far as I have gotten for now.

MaryF, I was just downloading the baptismal record for William Delay, when I looked at the image more closely. It turns out that Mary Delay is listed as a sponsor! Maybe she is your relative.
