Hello! I'm in need of any help possible in clarifying my Hickey family tree please.
My great great Grandmother Bridget Irene (Rena) Hickey was born in Thurles, baptised 27 March 1842 to William Hickey and Anto/Nanno/Anne Brien. (Bapt record uses Nanno)
William Hickey and Anto Brien were married in Thurles Parish on 6 Feb 1837, witnessed by James Hickey and Catherine Condon.
Anto (Anne?) Brien was baptised either 15 Aug 1814 or 15 Jan 1817..(There seems to be two Anto Briens in the same area about the same time. Any clue as to which is the correct one?)
My Grt grt grt grandfather William Hickey was baptised 16 Jul 1816 in Drangan to Timy Hickey and Bridget Ryan. Sponsors for William's baptism were Michael Connick and Ellen Ryan. (Was "Timy" just the Priest's abbreviation?)
i'm trying to verify whether I have the correct Timothy Hickey - baptised 23 Feb 1796 to parents John Hickey and Catherine Long, living/farming in Cassestown with sponsors of Timothy Hickey and Honora Long.
Can anyone help me with this branch of the Hickey family? I seem to have come across variations/combinations in Ancestry.
