Reading Story behind this Castle may I point out that the MARY who married Richard Montesquieu BELLOW was MARY LALOR ( not Lloyd) who married in 1827 and died 1828. No Children. I suppose she was a daughter of John Lalor Esq of Cranagh - most probably a FARMER on the estate. The Lloyd family DID OWN quite a lot of the lands!! and as so many are called JOHN it is difficult to trace whih one is being talked about!
I am still trying to place the widow EMMA - or was she a Lalor mis named too???
