Are there any Records for the Edenderry Workhouse Births in 1904. On Dec10, 1904 Bridget Mulligan gave Birth to a Baby Girl named Bridget Mulligan. I am trying to verify the Mother's Parents Names.

The following information was provided by Mr Steve Dolan, Manager of The Irish Workhouse Centre, Portumna, Co. Galway
The Edenderry Poor Law Union was officially declared in 1839. The Workhouse was opened in 1841 at a cost of £6,410. It was built to house a maximum capacity of 600 inmates, but census records show that the true number of inmates reached as high as 840 in 1849. The Edenderry Workhouse was built to accomodate people from the areas of Ballinakill, Ballyburly, Ballymacwilliam, Clonmore, Clonsast, Croghan, and Edenderry in Co. Offaly, Ardkill, Ballynadrimna, Cadamstown, Carbury, Cloncurry, Mylerstown, and Rathangan in Co. Kildare, and Ballyboggan, Castlejordan, and Clonard in Co. Meath.
The Edenderry Workhouse was closed after the formation of the Free State in 1922 and was demolished in the 1970's.
