Like Castlenode, Lisroyne Lodge, a/k/a Lisroyne House, was part of the Mahon/Pakenham-Mahon Strokestown House demesne. And also like Castlenode, it housed connections of the Mahon family. Sarah Devenish Morton, daughter of Theodosia Mahon Devenish, lived part of her life at Castlenode and part at Lisroyne House. She was widowed and living at Lisroyne House with her daughter Susanna Jane Maria ("Susie") Morton when she died in 1867.
In the 1870s the Pakenham-Mahon estate amounted to almost 27,000 acres in county Roscommon.
