Just so you know, I'm not local. The Tithe listing for Galbally is dated 1830 and the Griffiths Valuation for Co. Limerick was in 1850. There is a William Looby in Galbally parish in the Griffiths.for Galbally parish in Ballynamona townland. is that your William? https://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/limerick/galbally.htm  If so, likely the place name of Ahanasack was merged into the official townland of Ballynamona when townlands were standardized around 1850.

Thanks for the reply, Roger!  Yes, the William apearing in Griffith's Valuation In Ballinamona is my 3rd-great grandfather. But in the earlier Tithe Applottment, there are two William Looby's...one in Ballinamona & another in Ahanasack. My speculation was that the Ahanasck William was the father of the Ballinamona William. But I had wondered if Ahanasack was adjacent to Ballinamona. You mention that townlands were standardized in 1850?  Could you educate me on what that process was?  Thanks so much for your assistance.
