Attempt to locate ancestors of William John Hurley dob:abt1896

The 1911 Census noted a number of Hurley families living in Kildeema North townland in Annagh Electoral divisioin in County Clare.  Annagh is one of the Ellectoral divisions which is associated with Miltown Malbay.

Thank  you so much for this very valuable assistance.    I have  reached an impasse.      In reviewing the documents completed and signed by William John Hurley, the information I believe is accurate is his DOB is 4 Oct 1895, POB Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare.    On his military documents in the US, he gave his mother's name as "Jane Hurley".   He resided in Bellmore, Nassau County on 8 Feb 1834 and his DOD is 28 Oct 1965 in Spain.

He may have referred to himself as "John" on occasion.

Any ideas for me?     

UPDATE:    Based upon the date of birth he gave the U.S. Govt., I have determined his father's name was William, not "John".   I have now located his birth registry.

This vault was erected by Patrick Donnellan of Miltown for him and posterity April 2nd 1832 Plaque:In memory of James Donnellan died 22nd Feb 1989 of his wife Bridget died 8th Feb 1907 and of his children Ellie J, Norah R., Harriett M., Pat,Stephen and James also Emily P., died 7th Oct 1951 R.I.P. Plaque: In loving memory of William Hurley who died April 12th 1898 his wife Jane nee Donnellan died March 23rd 1941 also their sons John died February 1st 1894 and Patrick J. December 12th 1964 R.I.P.

QUESTIONS REMAINING:   (1)  From this memorial in Miltown Malbay, there is no indication of Jane Hurley being the child of James and Bridget Donnellan.    Yet, the 1901 Census refers to Jane Hurley as "daughter" of Bridget Donnellan, "head".   Why would Patrick Donnellan have erected a memorial to William Hurley and Jane nee Donnellan?

(2)  The death certificate of William Hurley gives the informant's name as "Henry" Donnellan", Sister-in-law.   Is this Henrietta Donnellan?

(3)  Why would Patrick Donnellan have failed to reference his brother, William, if they are the children named in the 1901 census?

Any thoughts?

A number of Hurley families resided in Miltown Malbay area at that time. The Kildimo family referred to lived in a town land outside of Miltown Malbay. The H family referred to in the various posts and in such minute detail, are my ancestors. However William Hurley mentioned in the original question came from Newcastlewest and married into a Miltown family. I have had the experience of directing some Kildimo Hurleys, (disappointed at discovering that we were not the same family), to that town land. I have memory of hearing of a man called Bay Hurley. As far as I know, he is buried in Ballard cemetery M Malbay. I'm sorry if you are disappointed with this news. I f I can help in any other way, please let me know.

Hello - I found this message board via a Google search and have just joined Ireland Reaching Out. It seems everyone is being helpful so I'll just put this out there and if anyone would like to comment on the following it'd be appreciated. Denis b. 1827 - my great-grandfather from Kildimo married Mary Darcy b.1828 of Mount Scott shortly before their emigration and she supplied the names of Denis' parents on his death certificate as James Hurley and Mary Cavey, however the death certificates of others below show their mother's name as Ann Keary, Ann Kearney etc. Various members of my family were told by Kildimo area Hurleys in the 1980's that practically all of the Kildimo Hurleys went to America - except one family (ours presumably).
